To help more people receive the COVID vaccine, California dentists and oral surgeons were permitted to administer it to patients. Dentists must complete a 3–4 hour CDC training online before being able to administer the vaccine. This helps ensure more people receive the vaccine while alleviating the strain placed on healthcare providers.
