Can you sleep on your side after wisdom teeth removal?
During your recovery, you will need to sleep on your back with your head propped up for 3–7 days. It is not recommended that you sleep on your side or on your stomach because it can add extra pressure to the area. It will also direct more blood to the area and increase swelling.
How long does jaw stiffness last after wisdom teeth removal?
After third molar removal, some jaw stiffness may occur with very limited jaw opening. This is more common with the removal of the lower wisdom teeth. Jaw stiffness may last for up to 3 weeks following surgery and will slowly release.
